Welcome to the Totals Guy website!

Whether you’re new to sports betting or a seasoned veteran, I’m glad you’re here. My goal is to provide thoughtful, analytical content that helps you better understand NFL totals and make more informed wagering decisions.

When I say “we,” I really mean “me”—at least for now. My name is Matt Skabelund, and I’ve been betting on sports for several years. Over time, I’ve developed my own methodology for evaluating sports wagers, with a specific focus on the NFL and, more specifically, game totals.

If you’re new to sports betting, don’t worry. I’ll be publishing a separate article explaining totals, sports betting fundamentals, bankroll management, and other basics you’ll need to get started.

For the past five years, I’ve tracked the performance of this methodology, and each year has finished profitably. That said, this isn’t a site for chasing massive payouts or swinging for the fences. My approach is analytical, disciplined, and focused on identifying value over the long term. Proper bankroll management is a critical part of that process.

On this site, you’ll find my recommended side for each NFL game total, along with the size of the edge my methodology identifies. You’re welcome to follow my recommendations, fade them, or simply use them as an additional perspective in your own analysis.
