WEEK 1 RESULTS

The TotalsGuySeptember 16, 2026 6 min

Week 1 unfortunately did not go the way we wanted. With an overall record of 6-9-1—big thanks to Javonte Williams for the tie—it was less than an ideal start to the season.

However, our results during Weeks 1–3 are typically lower due to statistical variance. In simpler terms, offenses and defenses have changed since last season, and we need new data from this year to determine which teams will be great and which ones will struggle.

Here are our sponsored bets from Week 1 and how they performed.

New Orleans at Detroit — Under 49.5 Edge: 4.57 points Units: 2

Review: This game was trending heavily toward the under during the first half, with both teams combining for just seven points. Then the onslaught began for those who followed our play this week.

The teams combined for 28 points in the third quarter, 13 in the fourth, and another 13 in overtime. The second-half adjustments worked well for both offenses, while neither defense could hold up.

Final: LOSS — New Orleans 30, Detroit 31 Total points: 61

New York Jets at Tennessee — Over 39 Edge: 4.16 points Units: 2

Review: After watching this game, I came away with one thought: Tennessee’s offense might be historically bad.

Cam Ward does not seem to trust his protection, the Titans lack a reliable running game, and the New York Jets’ defense made them look like a Little League football team. It is going to be a tough year if you are a Titans fan.

Even so, we came close to hitting the over on this play but ultimately fell short.

Final: LOSS — New York 23, Tennessee 10 Total points: 33

Arizona at Los Angeles Chargers — Under 47 Edge: 3.07 points Units: 1

Review: Finally, we have a win!

I was surprised by how good Arizona’s offense looked against a strong Chargers defense. Conversely, the Chargers’ offense is who we thought it was. Despite having immense talent at quarterback, this team cannot be trusted to consistently put points on the board.

That worked well for us, as we secured our first system win of the season.

Final: WIN — Arizona 26, Los Angeles 14 Total points: 40

Green Bay at Minnesota — Under 46 Edge: 4.98 points Units: 2

Review: This was one of the most talked-about games of the weekend—for all the wrong reasons.

Similar to the Detroit–New Orleans game, this matchup was trending toward our under bet until around the middle of the third quarter. After looking strong to start the game, Green Bay’s offense began missing assignments, turning the ball over, and becoming increasingly sloppy.

Minnesota took advantage and scored 29 points in the second half.

Despite the scoring, Minnesota is still a team I will most likely target for unders throughout the season. Carson Wentz, filling in for the injured Kyler Murray, threw for only 133 yards, while the rushing game contributed 107 yards. With just 240 total yards of offense, the Vikings will likely need to score on defense—perhaps multiple times—for their games to go over the total.

Final: LOSS — Green Bay 22, Minnesota 39 Total points: 61

Week 1 record: 1-3
